The Lincoln Memorial is my favorite tourist stop in DC. I love sitting on the steps and looking out over the reflecting pool towards the Washington Monument. It's a really beautiful spot, especially at the end of the day when the sun is going down. I think anyone who is visiting DC should make time to visit the Lincoln Memorial and the other memorials in that area.

I cannot imagine coming to DC and not visiting the Lincoln Memorial. It is really quite moving to see the hugh statue of Lincoln and read his words. From this monument you can look toward the Washington Monument and the Capitol and get a real sense of the Mall and where the monuments and memorials are located.
