In the spring, when the azaleas are in bloom, this place is spectacular. They also have a love bonsai collection.

A beautiful, tranquil place to visit any time of the year; more than just flowers and plants; checkout the spice exhibit. They often have special exhibits too. Well worth the time to visit and close by to the American Indian Museum, a great place for lunch.

This is one of my favorite destinations to take the out of town visitors especially on the way home from BWI to VA. Make a picnic see the Arboretum and they will be wowed. The herb garden, Bonsai collection and dwarf conifers are the best! Check the website for what is at its height. There is a daffodil walk through the woods that is spectacular in the Spring. So much to see, special exhibits, kids run free, go there. You'll love it and so will anyone you take. Roses in the summer are fabulous.
