They have an extensive collection of materials for people who want to trace their ancestry. It was such a thrill to come across my grandmother in a book that gave her ancestry back to England in the 1600s... and then I found my grandfather, her husband, in another book tracing his ancestry back to the Netherlands, also in the 1600's. Biggest library in the U.S., quite possibly the world!
